Unrestricted Fund
To support a variety of public service activities and educational efforts, including but not limited to:
• Tar Wars®, the annual anti-tobacco effort that reaches thousands of youngsters in Rhode Island middle schools, thanks to the dedication of scores of physician volunteers.
• ASK Day (“Asking Saves Kids”): Since 2002, RIMS has worked with The ASK Campaign to raise public awareness campaign on ways to keep kids safe from injuries involving firearms.
• Bike Safety Program, in the past 12 years, more than 5,600 children of low-income families have received helmets and bike safety materials through this RIMS program. Each $10 donation purchases a helmet and other bike safety items. |
