For the first time in decades, select treasures from RIMS collection were on display in the Lownes Room at the Hay Library, where the entire collection is stored. Items in the collection date from the 16th century to the present. Photos |

In 1987, RIMS made a gift of its collection of 55,000 books and antique medical instruments to Brown University. The most significant historical portions of the collection are now housed together at the John Hay Library. |
